MONTHLY RATES
- During winter months suites are available for monthly rental. Monthly rates include: utilities, water usage, heat and cable television and a weekly change of linens and towels.
- We do not provide housekeeping services to monthly guests. In the event housekeeping services are requested, the rate is $15.00 per hour for room cleaning with a $15.00 minimum charge.
- Monthly rates are based upon double occupancy
- A deposit of 50% of the first months charge is required to be paid at the time of booking and is applied to the total amount due. Currently, a stay of 30 days of more is exempt from the Provincial sales tax and regional district hotel tax however this government policy is subject to change and we reserve the right to charge the applicable taxes should it be required by law.
- Personal use items are included and these are bath soap, shampoo, paper towels, and toilet paper. The motel provides fully equipped kitchens and high quality bed and kitchen linens and bath towels.
- Presently we are unable to provide guests with laundry services. There is a coin operated laundry service close to the motel.

ADDITIONAL GUEST INFORMATION
• Check in time is 2:00 P.M.
• Check out time is 11:00 A.M. however late check out can be arranged subject to the suite’s availability and at the discretion of motel management
• Rates are subject to change
• All suites are NON SMOKING units.
• There is a charge of $100.00 per day if a guest smokes in any of the units. We invite you to smoke outside at least 50 feet from the doors and windows of the units, and have ashtrays available for our smoking guests. In the event there is smoking in the room the motel manager reserves the right to add the non smoking charges to the guest’s bill and/or charge the guests credit card. The cleaning of the units to eliminate the odour of cigarette smoke takes a considerable amount of time if a guest smokes in the unit.
• Guests are required to bring their own beach towels. If you do not have a beach towel kindly ask our manager for a towel (we keep older towels on hand). We would appreciate it if guests do not take the bath towels we provide in the rooms to the beach.
• We require payment upon arrival. We do have an on site manager however she may not be available when a guest checks out and this could result in a delayed departure for a guest who needs to wait to arrange for payment on their check out date. To avoid this inconvenience we ask that guests pay the motel charges upon arrival.
• We accept CASH, DEBIT CARDS, VISA AND MASTERCARD. Personal cheques are accepted however we require a copy of your driver’s license and a valid credit card number.
GUESTS WITH PETS
We understand that guests enjoy traveling with their pets and we do try to accommodate guests with pets. We regret that we cannot allow cats to stay in the units but we do allow guests with dogs to stay with us. However there are some ‘ground rules’ that we ask guests with pets to respect and the following lists a few simple requests that we ask of our guests who travel with their dogs:
• Please clean up after your pet, particularly the dog droppings. We are happy to provide plastic bags.
• Please wrap the dog droppings in the plastic bag and deposit the refuse in the outdoor garbage bins.
• Do not allow your pet to sleep, lie or lounge on the furniture or the beds.
• Control your pet’s barking so as not to disturb the other guests.
• Under no circumstances can pets be left unattended in your unit.
• The management reserves the right to charge guests for any damage done to the units as a result of unruly pet behaviour.
• The motel reserves the right to ask guests who are not looking after their pets to vacate the room and find alternate accommodation.
• There is a maximum of two dogs per unit.
CANCELLATIONS
MONTHLY RENTALS
Notice of Cancellation of a monthly booking is 30 days notice.
If less than 30 days notice of cancellation is given the motel reserves the right to retain the 50% deposit.
If notice of cancellation is less than 72 hours the motel does retain the deposit paid.
WEEKLY RENTALS
Notice of Cancellation of a weekly booking in the high season is 15 days notice.
If less than 30 days notice of cancellation is given the motel reserves the right to charge a minimum of $185.00.
If less than 48 hours notice of cancellation the motel reserves the right to charge 50% of the weekly rate.
DAILY RENTALS
Notice of Cancellation of a daily booking is 24 hours.
If less than 24 hours notice of cancellation is given, the motel reserves the right to charge the nightly rate quoted.
WEDDINGS, FAMILY REUNIONS AND THE LIKE
From time to time we are asked if the motel will offer up our property for weddings and family reunions. We do however this must be discussed with our manager and the owner. If you are interested in hosting your wedding or family reunion at our location, kindly contact us to discuss details and pricing.

The Lighthouse Motel offers affordable, peaceful and comfortable waterfront units. Our objective is to make your stay enjoyable and stress free. As a result of waterfront development in the Oceanside area and increased operating costs, many small motels have ceased to operate and there are not very many of us left. The result is the development of larger, more impersonal and more costly waterfront hotels and condominiums. While we support this growth and ongoing development, we recognize that many travelers appreciate our lower rates and waterfront location. We make a lot of effort to maintain reasonable rates and make visits to our area affordable for families and persons from all walks of life. We hope to continue to serve our guests for many years to come and welcome comments and constructive criticisms so that we can continue to improve our services. We appreciate your business.
